Welcome

Twenty five years... It seems like only yesterday when a group of parents decided it was time to start a fund raiser for Saint Andrew Catholic School. Jane Rini, Paula Green, RA Green, Teresa Poster, Tony Parotta, Spud Spadoni, Skeeter Nash, Bob Hoeb, Father Paul Seitz and Martin Synder formed the first annual Taste of the Town with 20 restaurants in a small portion of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Who could have guessed that this event would grow into this area's premier culinary social event of the year? Today there will over 50 restaurants in 100,000 sq. ft. of space and we plan on celebrating like never before!!

With the number of restaurants that participate and the varity of foods offered at Taste of the Town, one might will find enough entertainment in just sampling the diverse offerings from this area's finest restaurants.

But the entertainment goes beyond that; mascots and clowns roam the aisles, chefs dazzle you with fancy culinary tricks, amateur sommeliers seek the "perfect" vintage, kids scramble to find the candy booth and eager restaurantuers awaiting their name to be called to the stage for winning Best Entree or Best Dessert.

There is soft music to listen to, music to dance to, and this year, a live band will be on hand to help us celebrate the 25th annual Taste of the Town!

And if you really want entertainment, don't forget that Taste of the Town provides you with the best "people-watching" you can find in town. 99.5% of the people that attend Taste of the Town usually will run into someone that they know or haven't seen in many years! In fact, local celebrities have even been known to attend Myrtle Beach's largest culinary festival. Who can forget the surprise appearance by the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes a couple of years ago!
